Hah! I finally got myself back into writing again. It feels good!
It’s been a while since my last blog post. I’ve been MIA for almost a month. Crazy, lazy!
You might be wondering what happened to me. Well, I got sick. Yep, my body’s defences failed. My white blood cells were overwhelmed by the pathogens. Good thing I am recovering now by God’s grace. It was scary though.
Human as I am, I had a hard time juggling between my job, hobby and life itself with a weak body. Who doesn’t anyway?
Enough said, let’s proceed to my last post for the Davao bootcamp 2013 series: Malagos Garden Resort Tour.
I’m watching Eragon right now and I’m struck with envy with so much greenery in its sceneries. Aaaah, that calming effect nature has on you. This movie reminded me of a beautiful place in Davao that I vacationed in with a group of bloggers last year, Malagos Garden Resort.
At Malagos Garden Resort, there were plenty of trees, animals and freshly harvested fruits. It was a peaceful place with fresh air; calming to the tired soul of city dwellers like me.
They transport guests on this shuttle.
It was my first time to be ushered by this kind of vehicle. This ride gave me a safari vibe! The resort had a vast land area and the reception area was quite far from the cottages. You’d lose your breath if you’d just walk with all your baggages.
What to do when you spot a horse nearby? Strike a pose ensegueda! Hehehe!
This was on our second day at Malagos. We were having a break from our sessions when this shy horse passed by. We kinda have the same hair color. Hehehe!

This is where we had our socials night and closing ceremony.
This is a tall pole in the play area. Athletic people would enjoy climbing it.
Drop your coin and make a wish here. Let’s just hope no Sadako would surface from it. Hehehe!

Malagos is also an art sculpture garden.
There were several pieces scattered outdoors and even indoors. You would be captivated not just by nature but by also the masterpieces of local artists spread here.
I feel like I’m Alice in Wonderland here in this giant chessboard. Would you play with me?
Crossing the small bridge
This was on our last day at Malagos and this was one of the gateways to Koi Cafe where delicious breakfast was served daily. I had a big smile in this photo because I was excited to eat. Hehehe! Who wouldn’t be? Everything here was fresh and they cooked so well, too.
You can also do zorbing with your kids here at Malagos Garden Resort.
Behind me were zorbs, giant air-cushioned hollow plastic balls that can carry up to 3 people. The riders are then rolled on to the lake. We passed by this area when we were on our way to the bird show after eating breakfast at Koi Cafe.

When you’re in Davao, don’t miss the chance to watch Malagos Garden’s Bird Show. You will love it!
Right after the show, the audience were allowed to get in to the set and take pictures with the birds. I got so ecstatic that I did not just pose with them but I also kissed one bird here.

After the bird show, we resumed with our tour around Malagos Garden Resort since there was still so much time before our next activity for the bootcamp.
They had ostriches, goats, horses, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs in here.
This is another sculpture which can be found in Malagos.
This is an entrance into a garden within a garden. Can you imagine now how big this resort is? We’ve walked everywhere already but I still feel that there were places we haven’t visited yet in our entire stay.
This would be a great place for a wedding proposal. So boys, add this to your options. Thank me later when you get your big yes. Hehehe!
