Christmas Date with the HB at Calda Pizza

High school friends are among our lasting friendships. (tweetable)

2012 was coming to an end and the HB nearly didn’t meet up for a reunion.  Yeah, that’s how busy we were. By God’s grace, we were able to spend time together last December 29, 2012.

After a sumptuous dinner at Ribbs Diner, the HB went over to Sunflower Bistro and KTV along Capitol Drive, Butuan City. However, it was fully booked as usual so they stayed outside at Calda Pizza while waiting for me to arrive. I wasn’t able to join them for dinner because I was feverish. I even didn’t expect to make it at Calda Pizza. Good thing Paracetamol did its magic so well in managing my body temperature and I was able to go out for a while with my friends.

When I got there, I was stunned because they were literally outside Calda Pizza, at the sidewalk! Gee! That’s how full packed the area was. Despite looking like homeless people, we still enjoyed each other’s company and we even took some pictures to remind us of that day.

Our pictures were blurry and it really made us wonder why. We tweaked the settings, changed cameras and took turns as photographer but still it was blurry. What were we doing wrong?

Finally, we figured out that it had something to do with the lighting. The pictures turn out well when shot with a flash as evidenced by the photos below.

When asked what we’d want for Christmas? Our unanimous answer would be: “All we want for Christmas is you!”

It took us a while to plan where to hang out because we could hardly come up with a place that could accommodate loud girls like us. Hehehehe. There were many suggestions but we could not arrive to a final decision. Time was running out and we were excited for our Kris Kringle. We needed to act fast and someone had to make a stand and lead the group. Hence, Myka commanded us to jump in to her ride without revealing to us where she’d take us and we were also not allowed to complain. Fast thinking Myka! Kudos!

Sometimes democracy can be too delaying and we need to employ a little bit of autocracy. (tweetable)
Do you agree?

Anyway, it was fun riding at the back of her car and not knowing where you’d be taken. That feeling of uncertainty and dependence on someone trustworthy was quite relaxing to us because we were freed from the burden of decision making. It’s that simple moment in your life when you cease to worry. You just go with the flow, let things happen and enjoy every moment. Que SeraSera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)

So, where did Myka take us? I’ll reveal it to you in my next article. Keep posted.
